SENIOR BUSINESS OBJECTS DEVELOPER
 

Description

The Corbis Group seeks Business Objects & MicroStrategy Developers who will work in a team environment to deliver successful reporting applications for our clients. Candidates will design/build/test/maintain BO Universes for use of a variety of different end-users.

Responsibilities

Conduct end-user interviews and gather reporting requirements.

Design/build/test all end-user reporting objects.

Design/planning/implementation of appropriate front-end tool for all user segments.

Ensure transfer of data from transactional and other systems into reporting environment.

Work with client representatives to verify data quality.

Skills

SQL experience a must. Oracle and scripting experience a plus.

BO Data Integrator and Rapid Marts, as well as designing Universes for large data sets.

Experience with Business Objects design tools: Developer Suite, Designer, Supervisor, and Auditor

Experience with Business Objects deployment tools: Infoview, WebIntelligence, Broadcast Agent, OLAP Access.

Strong understanding of metadata and the business rules that govern its creation.

Data modeling.

Data warehouse and operational data stores.

Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly document implementation and processes.

Must interface with end-users to gather requirements and define reporting functionality.

Solid Analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills.

Requirements

5+ years experience with Business Objects, including Business Objects Enterprise6.

Technical education (BS, MS preferred).

Programming experience a plus.

5+ years experience in application development.

2+ years professional consulting experience a plus.
